Lost in Translation

I was surfing the diverse source of mind numbing entertainment that is the internet this morning, when I came across this site.

Here are just a fiew samples of the gems to be found within:

Ok, I admit it

I used to scoff at those people who would spend hours playing a game. Who could think of nothing but that game while at work, on the bus, shopping, watching TV, or whatever.

And then I found Virtual Villagers. I think it is safe to say, this is one of the cutest, most addictive games ever invented.

This is a game in which you are responsible for caring for refugee villagers who have fled the destruction of their own island. You have to help them gain "tech points" in order to learn to farm, fish, build, heal, all of that fun stuff. There are also 16 puzzles/milestones that you have to get your villagers to solve. Some of them are easy to figure out, some require some puzzling. I found myself getting proud and excited every time they solved one.

I read an interview with the development company, and apparently there are sequels planned. I can't wait.

Also, I am building my nest egg now so I'll have no distractions when it does come.

It's Snakes on a Plane, Baby

......And there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

Except perhaps, go to the official movie website and enter your phone number, then give it your friends number, and have Samuel L. Jackson call them to say to go see the movie! The call looks like it's coming from you (hence the need for your number).

I've had my personal buddy Sammy (we're on a nick name basis, you know. He calls me CG) call a few friends already, and good times were had by all.

I'm all for charity fundraising

And hey, I figure, if you can convince people to give you money for performing a certain action, then more power to you and your cause.

But I bet there were alot of people who heard about this and thought to themselves : "Yanno, I wonder if I could get paid for masturbation on a regular basis?"

Raindrops on roses....

Ok, so I was feeling a little weepy, 'cuz I watched a show with a sad ending (yes, I cry at the drop of a Kleenex. ANY Kleenex. I admit it.). So, I thought, what's a better way to cheer up, than to look for funny cats on You Tube.

I assure you, they did not disappoint.

So? Which one are you?

After taking this little quiz , I discovered that I resemble the following world leader:

I'm not sure whether being a people loving, Macedonian dwarf is a compliment or not....
